- Brew York2월 26, 2014This German beer bar, opened by two Brooklyn residents that grew up in the Black Forest region of Germany, serves up over a dozen traditional brews on tap and all the traditional food to go with it!
- Robert Shoykhet1월 4, 2016Bratwurst is obviously great, as are those crispy shoestring fries. But the real secret of this place is that they might have the best burger in Brooklyn. Or at least my favorite!
- Harris Decker1월 29, 2015Awesome brunch spot in Fort Greene. Incredible menu filled with traditional brunch items like French toast and eggs, finished off with the best sausage and biscuits I've had in years. A+ in my book.
- JP Anthony10월 30, 2016The wurst & beer are pretty much all I like. Definitely leave those "jerk" wings alone. Undercooked with absolutely NO flavor. They were Water Wings. Cool vibe tho. Good spot to get work done
- Satia Stevens9월 12, 2017Schnitzel here is fantastic. We had pork and veal. The build-your-own includes 2 sides and it's totally worth the extra two bucks for the homemade spatzel.
- Alex Still1월 30, 2017Got a soup and a bratwurst sandwich for nine bucks with the lunch special. Delicious. Some rare unpasteurized German beer on tap as well.
- new morning coffee house features Brooklyn Roasting Company coffees and Serendipitea teas, and serves espresso drinks, drip coffee, and cold brew.

- Tony5월 4, 2014If you're into German beer and cuisine then you'll get a kick out of this spot. Huge projection screen on the wall is a nice touch for sports fans.
- Fantastic! Great selection of beers, friendly staff, awesome looking food. Anything would be preferable to the gross abandoned medical center that held this space for years, but this is truly awesome.
- CBS New York4월 26, 2016Black Forest Brooklyn is serving Rothaus Tannenzapfle and Beer-Battered Fried Mushrooms with Homemade Aioli for Ales N' Apps Week (May 9-13)
- kaffeehaus serves an assortment of breakfast pastries and pretzels, granola and yogurt, egg sandwiches, and juice, 7am-2pm M-F
- Nice atmosphere, good selection of beers and food. Friendly service. My local go-to for German food.
- Project Latte: a NYC cafe culture guide11월 26, 2014You might want to smuggle in coffee from Hungry Ghost down the street so that you can work in this beautiful, skylit, giant space, which at night is a beer garden/German restaurant.
- brunch three egg rolled omelet with choice of fillings (here with slab bacon, toasted almonds, and goat cheese) and a green salad
- german breakfast: croissant, pretzel, soft boiled egg, charcuterie, cheese, banana, strawberry, nutella

- Luc Doan11월 24, 2015Cute German pub with a nice fun vibe. Beers are a little pricy but you get a good volume
- Pear and walnut spinach salad (shown here without bleu cheese, and with grilled chicken). Pears and walnuts are cooked.
- two eggs any style brunch with salad, Bratkartoffeln (basically home fries), toast and homemade preserves

- Rothaus Pils--on tap, nonetheless. One of Germany's best pilsners, and this is the only place in the US that sells it.
- bauernmädchen flammkuchen is flatbread with sour cream, kale, toasted almonds, cauliflower, and roast pumpkin
- schnitzel a la meyer - pork or chicken under onions and two eggs, served with salad and french fries
- Mike M.3월 7, 2015Small beer hall styled restaurant. Don't expect authentic beer hall atmosphere however. It's fully Broolynite. Good beer selection.
- waldschrat flammkuchen - flat bread with truffled wild mushrooms, sour cream, and carmelized onions
- original flammekuchen is a little bit like a sour cream and bacon pizza. I was not prepared for how large it would be

- rindergulasch mit spätzle - braised beef goulash over homemade egg noodles, with house salad
- EssDot32312월 27, 2013Great restaurant but I'm not a fan of the growing number of alcohol-serving establishments being stroller friendly. I felt like I was in Park Slope.
- Paulette Osborne10월 7, 2016the wurst baskets are reasonably priced and delicious. the grapefruit beer was also tasty.
- Ron Foster12월 30, 2014Great German Beer http://activities-eatsandtravels.blogspot.com/2014/12/germany-in-fort-greene-brooklyn.html?m=1
- Rick Kincaid1월 14, 2014Great beer selection, though I was a little ticked off to see I got charged $4.00 for a ginger ale for my friend that wasn't drinking, and they charged me again for the refill. Ridiculous.
- Lovely space, friendly service, tasty food with huge portions! Oh yeah, and beer too.
- free wifi network is "Black Forest Brooklyn", password is "happy123"
- The flammkuchen are big enough for two. I personally loved the waldschrat
- apfelsaft is apple juice; apfelschorel is apple juice with soda water. #nonalcoholic
