This medieval church was founded circa 1100. It was damaged in the Great Fire of 1666 but completely destroyed by German bombs in 1941. The ruins were preserved and now form an attractive garden.
The V&A is the world’s largest museum of decorative art and design and holds 4.5 million objects. Henry Cole, the museum’s first director, printed the world’s first Christmas card in 1843.

If you need much-deserved break from chaos, get lost here. It's absolutely beautiful. Filled w/wild and human life but it's so serene. There's a Japanese garden, large-scale art, preschool, cafe, etc
Amazing garden. Peaceful and quite. A gift from the Kyoto chamber of commerce in 1992.
Nice hotel and rooftop. Rooms a bit small and be careful not to get a room above the courtyard, at night you can hear the club members all too clearly. The bar is filled with all kinds of Tequilas.
New hotel from the US group that already has funky hotels in NYC, Seattle, Portland, LA and Panama!! This one is in hip Shoreditch close to all the bars and restaurants
Lovely roof terrace - make sure to check that out. Service in bar downstairs was slow but it was a Thursday night. Food in the restaurant was good if a little expensive for a pub.
Great wine list. Nice variety of top class sharing plates at prices which won't break the bank.
When they get busy, the service lacks, but they made up for it w a glass of wine. Be patient. Excellent food! Got the trout, courgettes, grilled cheese & one of the cheeses. Great wine too.

Daily (!) wine menu curated by London wine god Michael Sager-Wilde, who also crafts lists for other local spots like Happiness Forgets. The grilled cheese here is legendary.
V nice, could almost be national trust, strong evidence the tories of Brixton wound down around 1979, and finally dissolved in 2013 seliing their very nice club to some smart types who have preserved
Lovely new spot from the Happiness Forgets crew. A bit more relaxed than their Hoxton home, with a vintage North American feel. Great cocktails, good beer list and pool tables. My new favourite local.
The pub is divided into four areas: a riverside garden/terrace, a lounge bar, a gorgeous conservatory area, and the tiny front bar, which merits an entry in Guinness World Records.
