Baby, it's HOT out there, but that doesn't stop us from enjoying the wonders of NYC. If anything, we tend to enjoy them even more! Here are some of our favorite ways to enjoy the summer season.
The Corcoran Group: Take a break from the concrete jungle at this much improved beach and interesting boardwalk. Get a Nathan's Hot Dog, Shoot the Freak, down a beer or just walk. It's our favorite nearby escape.
The Corcoran Group: There’s no better and cheaper way to enjoy a baseball game then at a Brooklyn Cyclones game. You’re so close to the players and beers and dogs are awesome.
The Corcoran Group: Get your tickets before you wait online – go during the week to avoid a wait. If you’re filming your little one, make sure you have a flash…it’s a bit dark inside.
The Corcoran Group: The summertime home of the Public Theater and a glorious outdoor stage for all their Shakespeare in the Park productions. Tickets are free, if you’re lucky enough to get ‘em.
The Corcoran Group: It might be the worst kept secret in NYC – but impress out-of-towners with a ride and enjoy the best views of the Statue of Liberty. The ride is free…the beer is cheap.
The Corcoran Group: You can’t fathom how large this pool is until you experience it. As with any public pool, make sure you bring a lock, wear appropriate suits and follow all the rules.
The Corcoran Group: Head straight to the third floor with its retractable roof for some delicious tapas on a warm summer night – get the PB&J, Truffle Pops and Lobster Crack.
The Corcoran Group: Check their Facebook page for their daily menu of 24 hand-churned flavors. Mainstays like Salted Crack Caramel and Nanatella are top notch.
The Corcoran Group: Aside from the amazing backyard space in the summer and the reasonable drinks, the best part of this bar is the local musical talent that performs here.
The Corcoran Group: This gelato spot is known for its interesting ice cream flavors. The Thai Chili Chocolate is not for those with a timid palette. Prepare yourself for small yet pricey portions.
The Corcoran Group: One of our favorite NY things to do is have cocktails after work on the roof of the Metropolitan, and take in the best views of Central Park. Open through late fall. Closed on Mondays.

The Corcoran Group: Fun brunch spot in Meatpacking with a beautiful garden area in the back. They offer an all you can drink special that includes sangria as one of the options, and the food is pretty tasty too.
The Corcoran Group: Expect long lines and expensive drinks – although we love the Bloody Mother. However, you’ll be rewarded with fantastic 360-degree views and, maybe, a dip in the pool.
