Nice exhibitions, huge aquarium. Bring your own food, though. Cafeteria ain't so hot.
Try to visit during the week to avoid busy weekends and be able to enjoy the peace and quiet in the floor in front of the main tank.
Check the paper in the entrance for the feeding times. That's the best time to see the critters active.
I don't think they have left out any of the species found in the Pacific (Other than Great White Sharks).
The Penguins in the Aquarium are fans of the Penguins in the Arena. Historically, the Zoo would loan the local hockey team a Penguin, but it didn't always work out so well.

The Aquarium is a part of the UH School of Ocean & Earth Science & Technology, and is world famous for its deep-sea nautilus collection.
Be sure to check out the crocodile hall where you can walk on a bridge over the large terrain full of them living freely! Super exciting!
