Fairfax Connector now has a bus to the West Falls Church Metro Station at Curb 2E.
Great place as long as you don't fly united airlines! Their customer service is very poor!
Elizabeth Marie11월 27, 2010It's huge, don't get lost. Take the trains to prevent lots of walking. And eat! There's a great sub shop by get C2!
Only international airport in the world that can't be accessed by public transport?
Finally the Aerotrain is up and running! If you in D, consider a walk to C to ride it over the mobile lounge.
If you have to get on the people mover, move to the front and don't jam up the back so others can get on
Tip: If you're riding in coach class, then please don't use your Louis Vuitton luggage... It makes you look funny. Save your money and use your Coach brand luggage.
Thomas M10월 12, 2013Security check can take a very long time. There is NO fast lane for business or first.
Free AT&T WiFi, but don't try to do too much...signal is spotty. Good luck finding an outlet to charge your devices.

erin mazursky4월 1, 2011The new Dulles is so much better than the old Dulles, it was worthy of a tip. Security 3x faster than before. Less chaos.
First time flying US Air out of Z gates. No food or drink other than Subways (yuck!) but they're just past security (seating is limited though).
Not a big fan of IAD! Takes forever to get to from DC and once here it takes forever more to get to the gate! DCA is the way to go!

Diamond security, opens just before 5 am- right by arrival gate 5. Quick through security.
Bronwen Jones11월 15, 2013Free wifi. Avoid united airlines. Leave plenty of time to get to your gate - you will need it.
Horrible. Security lines are long & disorganized-even if you have Premier privileges-and once you finally get thru, you have to take a tram and then walk the length of a marathon to get to your gate.

Antonio Garza10월 2, 2017If you have to take an international connection flight, be aware, I took me almost 3 hours to get trough customs.
The 5A bus to D.C. from IAD starts running an hour earlier than the Washington Flyer on weekends. And is cheaper.
