Check out Red Hook's first Thai restaurant, Kao Soy. It offers offers pad thai and som tum, and more authentic dishes of Northern Thailand, like the namesake kao soy, or curry noodles. 자세히 보기

Incredible unusual Thai variations. Pomelo salad, the namesake soup with fried sweet potatoes and. Tower of noodles and a very dramatic red snapper with bitter melon soup -- all great.

My favorite new place to eat in Red Hook. Try the Kao Soy, a sort of noodle curry stew with chicken legs that just fall off the bone. Also the sausage is spicy and delicious.

Pla pad cha spicy fish with herbs and LOTS of chilies may have been the spiciest dish I've ever had, and I've done the phaal curry challenge. Intense! As everyone says, the food here is on point.

Best For: Noodle soup aficionadosTrue to the restaurant’s name, the must-order item here is kao soy, the fragrant, coconut-scented curry native to Chiang Mai. Thai native Kanlaya Supachana doles out

The pad thai with chicken (I added shrimp) was absolutely exquisite. Perfectly seasoned and the presentation was amazing. Although this is waaaaaay out of my way, I'll be back.

Get the kao soy at this eponymous restaurant. And anything else that strikes your fancy — everything is fantastic. You'll probably get a wait. Luckily there's several bars right nearby.

The namesake curry noodles are amazing. Skip the som tum, it's a let down. Thought the puff, like a Thai samosa, was pretty good too! Take out IS available!

Delicious, unpretentious northern Thai food (read: not Americanized). Order pretty much anything, but definitely get the Sai-Oua.
