What I had @ l'ecole is what's in the picture and let me just say it was as good as it looks. L'ecole is a French restaurant where culinary students put their skills to the test & they all deserve A+!
Affordable, French food that doesn't skip on quality for the sake of price. Go for the crispy duck confit with the fig compote and balsamic reduction; it is delicious!
Don't be fooled by the look of this casual place; the seafood is fantastic & the closest you'll get to fresh-off--the boat seafood in the middle of Manhattan. Go for the Oysters & Maryland blue crab.
Has the vibe of a busy Parisian bistro; the escargot are my favorite appetizer; for main course I always go for the steak frites with that decadent bernaise sauce. Great restaurant!
An authentic French patisserie owend by a Parisian chef who aspired to open shop in NYC. The macaroons are delicious (try the passionfruit one!) Also, go for the cheese brioche buns, simply amazing!
Great Dessert place! On my visit I had an elderflower champagne cocktail, dessert & listened to a live guitarist..needless to say it's worth the trip :)
$1 Oysters make this place great for Oyster lovers not looking to throw money into the air. I also recommend the gruyere smoked gouda crusted Pork loin; it comes with a spinach that is amazing.
One of the coolest restaurants I've been to in awhile--on the outside is appears like an old hole-in-the-wall pawn shop; once again proving the old adage to never judge a book by it's cover :) enjoy
A very charming tapas place with vines intertwined on the ceiling and wine bottles accenting the decor. Great food and wine. Small so better make a reservation if you have a big party
A hole-in-the-wall burger joint w/ the BEST burgers I have had in NYC. Before this place I didn't even know there were so many options when it comes to burgers! The place speaks for itself--a must go!

Just came from this restaurant & the food is authentic Mexican at an affordable price point. Of their 8 flavorful tacos; I went for the crispy yellowfin tuna belly taco & it was perfection.
Less is definitely more at this UES pizzeria that boasts fresh ingredients & a brick oven. No need for tons of toppings; just enjoy their classic pizza margherita & you'll feel like you're in Italy.
