Easy enough to make same week appointments. They close the office from 1-2pm for lunch every day.
So good- the medium, $80 tasting menu was perfect size. They really work with you on allergies and food preferences (vegetarians are no issue). Photo: burleed green apples, radish, yogurt sauce.
There's a special vegetarian and gluten free menu if you ask. Definitely try the key lime pie though.
Nice room views of the ocean and pool. The minibar suitcase is pretty cool design, too.
Sweet tooth breakfast recommendation: Grand Marnier french toast with bananas. Almost custard like texture on the inside.
Buy a $9 beer tasting flight and you get four wooden tokens, each getting you a pretty heavy pour.
The vegetarian black bean burger with goat cheese and avocado is great. They even cook it separately from the meat so there is less contamination. The chocolate stout milkshake isn't bad either.
Recommend appetizer: tandoor artichoke hearts. Dip them in the chutneys that come with the crispy bread and it's a nice, different start than the samosa app I typically get with indian food.
Man, these are some messy and delicious donuts. I had the February monthly special passion fruit donut and the always on menu huckleberry donut (also comes in gluten free).
The cinnamon french toast comes with a lot of berry sauce (forgo the maple syrup!). Stay away from the peach Bellini though as it is over iced and oddly lacks a lot of peach flavor due to the vodka.
Not the best place for vegetarians. Only a few options like mac and cheese with tomato relish and some salads. They do have one vegan off menu item: an acorn squash with risotto and mushroom sauce.
The avocado and grapefruit salad is super nice. The shoestring fries aren't bad either.
Pastas are great here, but let's talk cheese selection! 30 cheese from soft to blue cheese to hard cheese for $6-8 each and you can make your own cheese plate with figs, honey, walnut bread and more.
In the winter, the easy trail up becomes a path of ice. Numerous people slipped and hurt themselves. Watch out.
