Sit at the bar, Chat with Dave (Look for the beard, you can't miss him), and have a great time and some excellent cocktails. The scotch egg and summer ravioli are not to be missed.

The duck rillette, brussels sprouts, and short rib are among my favorites. Go to spot for rich foodie comfort food. Winter time must for dinner and/or brunch. In my top 5 for Williamsburg eateries.

Start with an Old Fashioned. Make sure you order Oysters as an appetizer. Make it a full dozen. And for mains; there is no way you should miss the meatloaf sandwich. I loved this place.

a place where the straws are made from paper and every table has a different salt and pepper shaker set. the meatloaf sandwich is a delight. so are the homemade doughnuts. such a neighborhood gem!

Had the infamous old fashioned, endive and pear salad, and the ravioli. It was a solid meal. Next time I'll have to try the meatloaf sandwich. Side note:how do they get the bathrooms to smell so good?

Great brunch, great cocktails. The meatloaf sandwich is amazing but huge, save half for later. If you're there with a few friends, get a carafe of barrel-aged old fashioned cocktails.

Had the southside cocktail, which was pretty tasty. The fried brussel sprouts hit the spot and the scallops and pork belly was probably the best entree I've had in a long time.

Blue plate specials for $15 monday - wednesday. Had an i credible cassoulet for two here recently, but the meatloaf sandwich and their old fashioned are the classics.

Absolutely riveting decor and service with a hearty menu that never disappoints. If nothing else check out the the happy hour burger and old fashioned special weekdays.

For brunch get the omelet: egg whites with goat cheese and spinach. It's like a goat cheese and spinach cloud of perfection. I want it again, right now.

The default rye for an old fashioned is old overholt -- a little spicy, a little sweet. A nice block of ice to keep it cold.

It speaks to the food quality that multiple people with babies / toddlers, myself included, we're having dinner here despite them not providing high chairs. The staff was surprisingly baby friendly.

New spot with an old school feel. Dark wood interior, traditional cocktail menu and really good hearty food. I loved the grilled ham and cheese for brunch.

Believe the meatloaf hype. It will undo every bad childhood memory of dry loafs concealing leftovers. My mom even said it was the best she's ever had. That says a lot--she's made a lot of meatloaf!

You can add alcohol to the teetotaler drinks. The Dylan Temple (ginger ale, homemade grenadine, fresh ginger) is delicious with vodka.
