New Braunfels is a small city with big attractions that bring in visitors from all around the country. Most of the New Braunfels tourist attractions are connected to the city's German heritage.

Fredericksburg was founded in 1846 and named after Prince Frederick of Prussia. It is the birthplace of Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz. The town is also notable as the home of Texas German.
