Some kind of Buddhist-inspired, vegan, magical food goin' on here. Need a reservation, probably. Pricey, but very unique.

Good-ass falafel. They have another location but it never seems to be as good. Maybe because it's missing the Waverly Place charm.

Pastry wizzard. A small window to the right serves soft serve ice cream (think burrata flavored, with micro basil, strawberry confit, and some kinda balsamic magic).
Quintessential NYC spot. Corned beef, brisket, pickles, where Meg Ryan faked orgasm. Il Laboratorio del Gelato is near.
Pasta. Pizza. Have seen Mario walking around in his orange crocs here. Oh oh, and olive oil gelato.
Old Nabisco factory turned...well, turned into a cool NYC spot full of eats and other things. Across from the NYC Google building.
Aircraft carrier. Also a submarine chillin' next to it. They have an SR-71 Blackbird on the deck, a.k.a. my inner child squeals at the sight of it.
Mario's joint. Eat pizza, eat pastries, drink beer, or wine, or coffee; buy panettone or soppressata or literally anything else here because it will be tasty.
In a hotel, down a narrow hallway alongside the front desk, marked with a neon sign, behind a curtain. Down with Shake Shack, Viva la Burger Joint.
Pricey but worth it...given, mostly worth it during restaurant week. The CHOCOLATE CAKE.
Put this here because it's on/over the Highline, which is an old railroad track they converted into a park. Go to the Chelsea Market to get snacks, then go hang out on the Highline.
Ice skating rink for part of the year. Where they light the Christmas tree, etc. Shops underneath, too.
Great if you're in Central Park to begin with. Pay what you'd like to get in. Remember to check out the rooftop.
Oldest Bar in NYC...I think. Only two types of beer - light and dark. E. E. Cummings wrote a poem about this place.
Super simple, Lebanese flatbread that they put into an oven just behind the counter, then fill with goodness. I like getting it with halaweh inside.
Looks like a classic ice cream parlor. That's where the traditionalism ends.
Bit pricey, but good, especially if you want something (salad, sandwich, etc) to take into the park and eat.

Nice anytime of the year. Perfect in the winter when they have a kind of winter village: shops, hot cocoa, Louis Armstrong playing while people ice skate *ahhh*
Michael White joint. Foursquare has it categorized as a "fast food restaurant"...very much NOT a fast food restaurant. They do have a 'White Label' burger, though.
