Mark Ballinger: We took advantage of the Eat Up Downtown last night a couple of Yelp Friends. Now the food was awesome as always. I really love this place and the new one in San Marco too.
Mark Ballinger: Now this place has been around since the 40s. The food is really good just like the old diners they I grew up with. They are owned by the same guy that owns Chomp Chomp another favorite of mine.
Mark Ballinger: This place is normally good but this trip my food (the beef burrito) was very bland. We love the chips and salsa but it to is a hit and miss. This time the salsa was really good.
Mark Ballinger: I have eaten at Newk's from Mississippi to the one on Southside Blvd. I really like the open kitchen layout. I have always enjoyed the food and this visit wasn't any different. Newk's Rocks
Mark Ballinger: Now don't let the pretty girls fool you they do have Bad a&& Burgers. I had the Original Beauty and it was really good. Oh yea the girls are very pretty too. Love the Tats
Mark Ballinger: I just love their fried fish form time to time. I just can't get my beer batter to act like theirs. So I just drive thur every couple of months. Oh yea the slaw pretty good too.
Mark Ballinger: Which side of the building do I go. They have been open for 4 years and I never have eaten here. Now I eat at the sandwich shop maybe every 10 days or so. Now I know that both sides are really good.
Mark Ballinger: Now this particular Flats was pretty darn good. I did happen upon Two Taco Tuesday so I got tacos. They had just the right amount of stuff in the whole taco. I mean sour cream on the whole thing.
Mark Ballinger: I really like this place. They have the meats that I miss so much. When I was in Texas you could Beef Head, Fried Pork, Tripe, Tongue. With house made Tortilla and some hard to find spices.
Mark Ballinger: We have been eating here every Wednesday for so long I almost don't have to order. I love watching the chef cook our food. Always very hot and fresh. The best in town. Ask me
Mark Ballinger: Now I have been going to Chowder Ted's for a while now. They have some of the freshest seafood that you can get. I love the specials on the board and you can't beat their Chowder. It's red and YummO
Mark Ballinger: Black Sheep is a quite an original restaurant that make some of the foods that I hold near n dear to my heart. I also make my own bacons, sausages, corned beef, and pastrami. Theirs is great

Mark Ballinger: The food is pretty darn good. I had the Hamburger Quesadilla and Chorizo Torta. Maybe a little pricey but I guess I'm spoiled on Real old lady Mexican out of the back of a station wagon in Texas.
