Delectably divine degustation menu & wonderful service. Our meal took five hours but dinner at Sepia is an event in itself. If you can't do Tetsuya's, come to Sepia. Or just come anyway.
Do not leave until you have had the slow braised wagyu beef shin and bone marrow vol au vent with chestnut mushroom tempura and spinach. Freaking boom.
Definitely do the degustation, but start early in the night! The servings are generous, so don't rush (allow 3-4 hours).
Lovely grilled snapper, great oysters, I wouldn't recommend the hand cut chips, not worth the $9
The chefs get involved by bringing you the plates and table talking! Very cool experience with the rock/hiphop music. There's a 5 seat bar menu for walk-ins if you don't get an online reservation
The best dish is the crab and macadamia - so light and fluffy. Needs a sprinkle of salt but otherwise perfect!
The hit: doz oysters, carrot parmesan, pigs tail, the raw (it was mulloway tonight) and fennel ice cream. Three milks was too heavy for me but you might like it :)
