One of Chicago's more prominent parks, Garfield Park offers facilities for boxing, basketball, tennis and swimming and also has a playground, fitness center, and paths for jogging and biking. -RW 자세히 보기

Always free, this facility is an amazing oasis in the city, especially on cold winter days. Their seasonal displays are amazing and the fern room is a child's dream. The kids garden is underwhelming.

Entrance is free but a donation is asked at times. Either way, it's a great place to go -- indoors and out-- to take in some beautiful and exotic plant life. I love this place in the winter!

This is an unexpected oasis so close to the highway and public transit. It is worth a visit for a stroll, especially because it's free and there's free parking in their lot.

This is a great Chicago Winter destination. You can take a beautiful stroll through the gardens and give your lungs a much needed spa treatment of warm fragrant moist air.

A hidden gem in the city and it's free (free parking too!). Giant green house with a lot of plants and a huge back yard with a pond.

Free entry, donation suggested. One of my favorite places in the city. The back garden and pond are the highlight. Urban oasis.

Nothing more refreshing than a mid-winter stroll through the verdant houses of the Garfield Park Conservatory. You don’t need to know a bit of botany to appreciate the playful patterns here. 자세히 보기
