Please note that picnics and blankets are not permitted. We noticed that this tip appears first and want to avoid disappointment! The onsite Yellow Magnolia Cafe offers a delicious seasonal menu.

Small enough to tackle the entirety of the grounds in a day, but diverse enough to focus as much time in any single section. Member's picnic nights can't be beat.

Esplanade's only place in BBG where lawn-sitting is allowed. The Sakura Matsuri festival every May is good fun, but if you want to avoid crowds and see the trees in bloom, come a week or two earlier.
