Step "down" into a bar that has more historical items than some museums, sit at the table Jack London wrote literary legend "Call of the Wild" and do it all while enjoying a cold beer or a cocktail.
Nice little dive bar with some history. Very friendly bartenders and the bar table is very unique. Great spot for warm days, just get your beer and hangout outside.
This place has a back-to-the-past atmosphere where you can order a packaged snack and enjoy a Bloody Mary made with the house mix and a lager from Linden Street, an Oakland microbrewery.
Selected as one of the 2012 Bay Area's Top 100 Bars by the SF Chronicle, in the Dives category. http://www.sfgate.com/wine/article/Bay-Area-s-Top-100-Bars-Dives-3674566.php
The most crooked bar in California! The floor and barslant downward. The slanting is due to damage from the 1906 quake. They just didn't fix it! This place is small, quiet and intimate.
Small and cozy, full of atmosphere from back in the day. Watch out for the floor when you step in! Inside and outside seating, I suggest outside as there are few spots inside due to the size.
If you're sitting at the bar, take a look down. Your footrest used to be a complete pipe. It's been worn down to what you see from almost 150 years of feet resting there.
