Good rooftop bar for those in the know. Closest thing you'll get to being at a beach bar in the middle of bangkok.
Unofficially known as the hangover bar! Great views and decent drinks just about make up for how expensive this place is.

Close to Thong Lo BTS, handy for the bars and restaurants on Thong Lo or head to soi 38 for street food. Good rooms and views plus get a sundowner at Octave
Some good restaurants in here like din tai fung for Chinese dumplings. Zen department store also has some great things too.
Good for buying pretty much anything you can think off. You'll be begging for that cheap foot massage by the time you've finished shopping.
Really lovely setting for dinner, food maybe lacked the full Thai flavours expected. Need to go by car / taxi can't walk from the metro.

Interesting ruins and the tree that had grown around the Buddha head provides ample photo opportunities. Remember this is a religious site so be respectful of the place you are in.

Decent mid range spa (about 400 baht for a Thai massage). A step up from most of the shops off sukhumvit but not luxury.
One of the best supermarkets in town. Good produce, meat and fish. Check out the freezers for good quality meats, especially the slowne bacon for Brits who've had enough of the American stuff!
