Time Out New York: "Watch choo-choos go vroom-vroom at the Holiday Train Show. A dozen model trains traverse an incredibly detailed NYC scene, including landmarks like the Empire State Building & Radio City Music Hall."
Scott Moreau: "EVERYTHING is great here. The Brussels sprouts are AMAZING, and I suggest asking for a side of spicy honey regardless of what pizza you get. You can never go wrong with the Miele Melanzane, or POTD"
Serious Eats: "Head there for strufoli, deep fried balls of dough mixed with honey sold during the holidays, and fresher renditions of treats like pasticiolla."
Asia Lindsay: "They made me a beautiful mozzarella and prosciutto sandwich drizzled with tomato oil- it was so good. Also they let us sample Gorgonzola stuffed olives for free and it was amazing."
boland: "The holiday train show!!! Go on a weekday, weekends are rough, wouldn't wish that on anyone. Great for kids and they can run around the grounds to get their energy out afterwards"
Justin Ordoveza: "The overall collection is impressive, with displays of tropical rainforests to deserts. The greenhouse is the perfect getaway from winter weather."
Time Out New York: "The 1,000-acre space is the fourth largest park in the city and offers live concerts, horseback riding, an outdoor pool, hiking and cross-country trails, a historic house museum and two golf courses."
New York Post: "The 1,000-acre park at the end of the 1 line boasts the largest freshwater lake in The Bronx, the country’s oldest public golf course and the Van Cortlandt House Museum, the borough’s oldest house."
