In addition to the restaurant in back, there is a pretty substantial German grocery portion in the front, complete with toiletries, deli items, and ice cream.

An amazing place to get European groceries or dine in a bar with genuine German beer and cuisine!
It's got it all! Bakery, deli, bar, cafe, great food and if you are lucky, live music!

Beer? That's nice. Beer is everywhere in the city. But schnitzel, goulash, and spaetzli? Its the kaiser's own food, the Holy Roman Empire right here in downtown D.C.
The bar and restaurant is past the grocery in the front. Have a few liters and buy some delicious mustard or other German treat on the way out.
