Manhattan fruit stand has the cheapest and freshest produce in nyc because they supply to restaurants and then sell surplus to you. Best deal. Cash only.

Lots of tourists (including me), but it has a lot of variety. I thought the pop-up stores were pretty interesting. Warning: be prepared to wait to use the restroom.

Iron Chef Morimoto's famous Morimoto restaurant is just outside the Chelsea market. Excellent Japanese cuisine !!
