In Avignon, the Palais des Popes is one of Europe's largest gothic buildings. The palace is huge and features high vaulted ceilings and beautiful artwork throughout.
I've never seen anything like this - highly recommended! Old limestone quarry now art cathedral - amazing projections of Cezanne, les Fauves, Monet++ on huge walls all around, beautiful choreography.
