Some other season than summer can actually be perfect for a visit to the zoo: there's less distraction and many animals are more active than in summer heat that can make them rather lazy.

The elevator in the museum is a rarity from 1920. It was the 15th elevator in Finland and anyone can take a ride now.
Not only great for kids, but for grown-ups, too! The exhibitions are beautifully crafted to the smallest detail and reside in the old, strikingly beautiful, 1910 built building by E. Saarinen et al.

The rubber powered balsa planes are awesome! Just 6 euros and they really fly.

Great with kids: playcorner inside and sandbox on the terrace. Very reasonably priced children's menu: 3/6 euros for small/large portion. As a bonus, the most child friendly waiter I've ever seen!
