Super small but cute hotel in Kamiyama. No onsen but beautiful view of the river from each room.
This hotel, while slightly dated, has impeccable service. The private balcony onsens are amazing. The food was delicious and more elevated than your normal kaiseki. Pricey, but worth it.

Nice resort 50 min from Naha airport. Spring for a suite if you can. Beach is small, but the pool area is A+. Two infinity pools and jacuzzis.

Great place to stay on your Kumano Kodo journey. Lobby plays great music. Sit by the fire after an onsen bath. Kiri no sato means fog village, so enjoy the foggy views!

A beautifully designed hotel unlike anything I’ve ever seen. A unique take on a canopy bed, the ombré fabric makes you feel like you’re in a cloud. The record player is a perfect touch.
