Marius Watz: Take a funicular to the top of the highest mountain around Bergen. Chill, eat waffles and take in the mountain terrain, or go the whole hog and hike back to town over the mountains (4hrs)
Marius Watz: Want to go from quaint downtown straight to a (mini) mountain? Take the Fløibanen funicular up to Fløien. It has views, cafe, plenty of hiking routes. I recommend walking the windy trails back down.
Marius Watz: You can't miss this historic neighbourhood of old wooden houses and tiny alleys ("smau" in local lingo.) It's tourist-y with some awful souvenir shops, but also beautiful.
Marius Watz: Excellent both for day time and night time, Landmark is a very cozy cafe / bar in a classic functionalist building that also houses Bergen Kunsthall.
