The food is excellent... but the cocktails are incredible as well. Try the "Prussian Tea" - California White Slow Hand Organic Whiskey, Stone Oven Roasted Redland Peach, Tamarind, & Woodruff.
Try to stay south of 5th Street if you are heading to the beach... Too many tourists. When you're done at the beach, stop by Nikki Beach Club & get a pitcher of strawberry Sagatiba Caipirinhas.
It doesn't.get any more real than this. The Coq D' Or opened the day after the repeal of Prohibition in 1933. Have a classic cocktail and enjoy the atmosphere & history.
You haven't had Portillo's until you have had either a beef sandwich (with or without chedder) or a Chicago Style Dog with everything.
Decent size and several outlets to plug into if you need to get some work done. One of my favorite spots to work from when visiting Park Ridge.
