The 2013 sign was lit up briefly after the glittering ball descended from the flagpole atop One Times Square. Preparations are now underway for the New Year's Eve ball drop on Monday night.
Beaver Stadium was named after former governor of Pennsylvania (1897-91) and president of the university's board of trustees James A. Beaver.
