- The New Yorker10월 14, 2013“Shalom Japan...sounds almost like the punch line to a joke—but the married couple Aaron Israel and Sawako Okochi…are far from kidding around. At its best, their food is fusion in the truest sense.” 자세히 보기좋아요 - Mar 3
- L. Q.4월 15, 2018Kosher Japanese restaurant? I wasn’t expecting much, but this place really surprised me: the ramen was out of this world and all the appetizers were delicious. Good service also. Make a reservation.
- Rachel Port3월 30, 2019The matzo ball ramen is very unique, but the okonomiyaki, teriyaki duck, and the challah (ahem the butter) are the winners here. Knishes are good but not in the same realm as the above.
- Serious Eats8월 29, 2013Creative and surprisingly restrained Jewish-Japanese fusion fare from a chef couple in a sleepy corner of South Williamsburg. Don't miss the challah baked with sake kasu.
- Christina Chin2월 8, 2019Okinomiyaki is pretty good for app and the ramen with matzo is fine, but i dunno if i call it ramen..more like chicken noodle soup with hint of asian? Also a bit pricey vs other ramen spots
- Nicole Hansalik6월 10, 2018This.is.officially.my.favorite.restaurant. And I’m picky as f***. delicious & unique. Service was on point. Highly recommend the “weird” sake flight, ramen, and bread pudding.
- Adelina Taftsiou3월 30, 2015The lox bowl was my favorite! It was well put together. The duck was tasty, too. I also tried the tuna cream cheese toast. It was good, but they're really small though. The asparagus was alright.
- Jason Schaffer1월 5, 2016One of the coolest restaurants in Williamsburg! The matzohball ramen soup is the perfect blend of Jewish/Japenese cuisines. Everything on the menu is delicious. Omakase menu is $65!
- Cooper Smith12월 21, 2013Highly recommend New Year’s Duck, Scallops, Grilled Chrysanthemum Greens & Kale. You're fine skipping the Lox Bowl. By far the best feature of this place is the Hitachino Nest White Ale on tap
- Annie Morgan3월 7, 2014With no idea what to expect from a Jewish- Japanese fusion restaurant I was pleasantly surprised & blown away by how creative and delicious everything was - chefs tasting menu is the only way to go!
- Brent Chapman11월 26, 2018The tuna tataki in a black tahini sauce with broccoli and grilled red onion and the teriyaki duck wings among other yummy things.
- Joe D8월 5, 2015Don't miss the Okonomiyaki pancake thang. It appears the preparation changes on occassion, but its base is (delicious emoji) good.
- Jesse Lane4월 2, 2017Matzoh ball ramen and wagyu beef tartar were excellent, but the real winner was the challah chocolate banana bread pudding. I would have taken a picture, but I ate it too quickly.
- Vicky Sun3월 9, 2014Make reservations. The menu changes daily and is displayed on a chalkboard above the bar so sit at the bar for easy ordering. Great and creative food, toro toast and challah bread are amazing.

- Nico V.10월 4, 2014AMAZING! try the okonomiyaki and the tataki with black tahini. You can pass on the cold sesame noodles and save room for everything else.

- David Rosenberg5월 27, 2014The challah is good but the smoked toro toast and the Okonomiyaki are unmissable. The bar is really well stocked, and the Sixty-Forty a potable highlight
