Hartford Union Station (HFD) - Amtrak

I took Peter Pan from here to NYC and had a very smooth experience. Affordable prices and easy to deal with. I'd recommend it to anyone.

They have a new platform for Amtrak trains that's level with the train carriage, do no more climbing up steps to board the train. Take the elevator next to Subway's to reach the platform directly.

A beautiful, historic station with charming architecture inside and out. Entering from Union Place is much more aesthetically pleasing, rather than entering from the cave-like bus terminal on Spruce.

Don't crowd up by the door at the top of the stairs, they usually open doors to the train at both ends of the platform.

Peterpan busline is so unreliable!! I take the trip between Hartford and NYC atleast twice a month... Only two times in the last 8 months has my ride gone smoothly.. We need MetroNorth in Hartford!!

Peter Pan and Greyhound are COMPLETELY unreliable. Never have a had an on time experience with them. Hope you don't have anywhere to be!

No need to arrive much before your train or bus leaves, as there isn’t very much space in the waiting area.

Fear not, there is only one train track, Track 1. The gate announcements are for buses.

Get in line early for busses (30 mins). Lines get long

A rather limited train station and bus depot, but serves the purpose.

Walk outside for food. Hit up downtown Hartford. Good eats.

All buses are sold out. Be sure to check before going to the station.

Elevator to tracks is to the left of the Amtrak ticket agent window.

Dont sit next to the college girl who talks non stop for three hours.

The shuttle bus is never on time and if you're not outside, they'll fly around the corner without you!!

Elevator to Track #2 is opposite the rest rooms.

Kinda small town. Especially when coming from NYC.

Take a trip some where local atm offered and on bus line

Funny to hear the station manager tell people the train is arriving on track 1. There is only 1 track.

Station was recently renovated...much cleaner than before

The bus is extremely unreliable but so is driving.

Parking is a mess here if you're trying to pick someone up!
