Delta is the best to fly here at ATL. Just don't leave anything on the plane when arriving here (electronics, books, magazines...) they will magically disappear (especially Delta at ATL).

Brioche Doree Café, concourse A just off the escalator next to the book store. It's tucked away, very easy to miss, best coffee in the airport, and never a line.

Big airport make sure you ask for directions to all gates....Transportation is the last stop after Gate T

Have beat the train EVERY time in traversing the concourses - no sweat. Take the train if you have small kids or a disability...otherwise the walk is nice after hours cramped into those seats.

For it’s size, ATL is pretty well run. If you rented a car, be sure to give yourself extra time to get from the car center to the terminal.

Half the concession stands close early and the ones that are open are missing half their menu items
In the Delta terminal Concourse A, there are a number of food choices, including P.F. Chang. Sky club is next to A17.
Terminal D. Sit at the bar at Wild Wings and hang out with the bartenders with a brew. Chill atmosphere while you wait for your plane.
Heart healthy advice... One or two concourses to make your connection? Walk instead of taking the tram (time permitting, of course). It's great exercise! :-)
John Davis6월 17, 2013If you have a long layover, go eat at One Flew South in E. There's also a good bar at the top of the escalators with quality beer and a piano player.
For ALL of you that don't get this very simple concept, I'll brush l break it down for you. STAND ON THE RIGHT, WALK ON THE LEFT. That goes for people minders movers AND escalators.
Always give yourself more than 30 minutes between flights. It’s large and can take some time getting from gate to gate. Missed my flight with 45 minute between. I was going from A4-A5.
When you are walking through the terminal don't just stop dead in your tracks to look at something. There are people behind you moving fast! Pull off to the side first.

Miguel A.10월 29, 2014If you craving for something good but don't have enough time, I suggest to head to Five Guys. Great food, fast and nice service.
This is a very large airport and if you do not enjoy walking then you may want to find another airport because you will leave feeling like you just completed an intense 15-minute leg workout.
Speed thru the TSA line by keeping a compartment in your bag free to dump all your stuff from your pockets. Belt, wallet, phone, etc. You will only need two bins (shoes and laptop) and you're set!
When you die, you will go through Atlanta. Hopefully you're a diamond, cause then a Porsche will pick you up at the gate and you will actually make your connection.
Get ready to walk! Or take the trains underground. One of the most efficient airports in the world.

Lida Hasbrouck1월 6, 2013Get Global Entry if you hate lines. We went through immigration in minutes and were waiting at baggage claim before the carousel even started moving. Get Trusted Traveler, too. Well worth it.
Just trust that you can get to the next gate in time. Very easy to navigate as long as you follow the signs.
- Lots of food options; if you have a 2+ hour layover, head to the international terminal for a less hectic airport feel with good food and better lounge areas.
Great example of modern day slavery! This place booms millions and millions of dollars on the backs of minimum wage slave workers. What a country we live in. Time to revolt again.
The “F” terminal is beautiful and has upscale shops, live music, and nice eateries.
Don't be scare of this big airport, it is actually the most organize one I've seen. Take the train to your concourse + you don't have to go through security twice when flying two different airlines.
