In the east of Amsterdam near Oosterpark, you have the Oosterpark- and Transvaal neighbourhood. A nice area with some great spots to eat, drink or doing things and not so touristic as the city centre.
"not much free beach. Too much beach is commercialised or private beach, really a bad thing I think"
