Evann Js4월 25, 2012Buy souvenirs outside as the prices in the airport can be 2-3times. The best place is Agung Bali and Kumbawaty in Sunset Rd. Same stuff sold in Kuta Market without having to haggle the price.
Did u know? Airport closes for 24hrs (fr 6am local time) on Nyepi (Day of Silence), which is a public holiday, to observe the Balinese-Hindu tradition of meditation, fasting & reflection

The last time I visited Bali was in 2012. I remember the airport was on progress to rebuild. I'm surprised after 2 years, the airport turns out to be a well representative airport. Nice and clean.

Domestic Terminal: during the current-on-going big renovations, at the check-in counters, Anti-Mosquito Repellent Appliance is highly advised! (Nyamuknya ga nahannn!!)

ᴋᴍʏ4월 1, 2019Average size for an international airport.Arrival hall quite traditional and old.Departure hall is very modern and new layout.Plenty of food!!High end shops at departure hall area.
Watch the traffic situation if you need to get to the airport. Better to be early than late - at least 3 hrs before your flight and do prebook your transport to the airport.

- If you need souvenirs, coffee, chocolate buy it before the check in zone, 2-3 times cheaper.
- Blue Bird taxi from Legian to airport (with minimal traffic around 7:45-8:00 am) costs about IDR55,000. Note that there is also a departure tax of IDR150,000 after you clear immigration.

Much improve airport, with variety selections of food and beverages, some last minute souveniers shops are available
I like this new airport concept , so modern yet still show the cultural side of bali, but the airport tax is quite expensive, for domestic flight is 75,000rp
Humaizi Al-Fikri10월 1, 2015A lovely airport. To fellow international flight travelers, gate 7, 8, 9 and so forth are quite a walk from the immigration desks. Give yourself extra 10 minutes to walk to those gates.
The improved airport is great. Clean, many stores and restaurants to choose from. Clear direction to the gate!
tareq althaher2월 14, 2020all good but they have to focus on adding more counters .. it's very hard everytime we go or come to bali that we have to stay 1 hour for boarding even we do on line checking... plz add more counters
Aidu F8월 2, 2018They change departure gates quite often here, especially 30min - 45min before boarding time. Stay alert and always check the board for latest information.
Singapore, ASEAN, Australia and New Zealand passports can now go through immigrations via the autogates. Also, there are food options after passing immigration e.g. Two Tigers, Hard Rock Cafe etc.
Lings9월 26, 2013Write a card with your name and destination before coming out of arrival; the hordes of airport transfer staff will overwhelm you. Also, if taking a cab, meter > suggested rates sometimes.
New domestic airport with shops and cafes. Be mindful with your departing time
If you have escorted by your tour guide.. Make sure that they are holding the placard under your name.. But if you arrange it by your own.. Use the taxi to transfer to your selected hotel..

Nice airport, go for online check in, and you will get fast service
Immigration lines are punishingly long at DPS for no good reason, like so many tourist spots. You’re better off relaxing + using free WiFi to catch up on email / social media until the lines go down.
- Lings9월 26, 2013Stop at the right area for departure. Easy to get lost. Also, prep your travel itinerary before going in. Collection of boarding pass is inside the departure area.
Pro: fast immigration, almost no queue. Con: when departing, the obligated your through the tax free shops. Global: the renovation is a step forward. Please add aircon on the slurf to the plane..
