Make sure to check the terminal you're in when you tell the driver. I was flying delta and just told the cab driver "delta"...he took me to a delta terminal but there are THREE delta terminals at LGA.

The reconstruction has reduced parking spaces. Take a cab or, better yet, another airport.

Philipp Stummer2월 21, 2013If you can choose your airport for NYC, get LaGuardia, it's the nearest one to Manhatten. Save up to 30 minutes to get to Midtown.
If you have pre-check, do not print your ticket out at a kiosk. They're so old the tickets come out faded and won't be scannable at the check point.
Order a burger from Pat Lafrieda's when you are there, best burger bar none!- Get the garlic & eggplant chicken at the Chinese place in Terminal C. It's the best Chinese in New York
Fun game: See if you can count how many different colors the antiquated arrival/departure TV screens are!
There aren't many food options in the AA terminal, but Healthy Gourmet has good French press coffee and egg white flatbread sandwiches.

If you're not eating carbs, your best options are some of the pre-made salads at various food spots.

If the cab line is crazy, call a car service, most keep cars on staff at the airport and it's a fixed rate, usually about the same as a cab ride.

- Lots of construction = lots of traffic on the approach. Give ample time (+1 hour) to get to your terminal. Also, terminal B had zero food options, so plan ahead.
Best Delegate9월 6, 2011No direct subway line into the city. Recommend taking a shuttle bus that takes you to midtown. Also, you can consider sharing a cab, but lines may be long.
Follow all the common travel rules and you'll be fine. Don't be a brat. Don't be a complainer. Be nice to customer service - they don't make the rules or control the weather. Would you rather be takin- A S11월 5, 2011If you're going to Boston, DC, or Chicago on Delta, you probably need to be at the Marine Air Terminal- NOT the regular Delta Terminal. There's a free shuttle to get there.
Like craft beer? Best place is right next to security line by terminal C, not much else... And be nice to the staff, everybody vents on them
Au Bon Pain is the best option for breakfast if you fly Southwest from here.
Drinking fountain at gate 5 in concourse C (yeah the little one next to the fire hose signs - not exactly sexy, but it's water!)

When going home there is almost never a reason to take Midtown Tunnel in a cab...Always avoid it. You end up tipping on the total which includes the needless toll.
