If you're parking in the Long Term lot and need to get to anything other than Terminal B/C, budget yourself another 15 minutes.
Never agreed with Joe Biden on anything more than his sentiment of this “airport.”- Wow! Food court in US Air/ Delta terminal C is fantastic. Good pizza, great salad bar!

Good food option in Terminal D: Crust. Pizza, grilled sandwiches and decent wine selection.

Order a burger from Pat Lafrieda's when you are there, best burger bar none!

If the cab line is crazy, call a car service, most keep cars on staff at the airport and it's a fixed rate, usually about the same as a cab ride.
Au Bon Pain is the best option for breakfast if you fly Southwest from here.

Taking Delta? Go to terminal C and find two security gates. The one to the right is always shorter.- Get the garlic & eggplant chicken at the Chinese place in Terminal C. It's the best Chinese in New York
Fun game: See if you can count how many different colors the antiquated arrival/departure TV screens are!
Certain someone used somewhat colorful language to describe this airport a while ago but in essence I don't disagree. Compared with many other airports I frequent, this definitely needs upgrade
Drinking fountain at gate 5 in concourse C (yeah the little one next to the fire hose signs - not exactly sexy, but it's water!)

When going home there is almost never a reason to take Midtown Tunnel in a cab...Always avoid it. You end up tipping on the total which includes the needless toll.

Save you baggage ticket when you arrive in lga if you checked a bag. They force you to prove you to go through security to take it out. Only airport in the nation that inconsiderate.
Rebecca Adler9월 27, 2014If you're unfortunate enough to arrive here early, make sure to eat before going through security. There is almost nothing to eat or look at once you get through security.
You guys notice how the TSA here is friendlier ever since the new terminals opened??- Lots of construction = lots of traffic on the approach. Give ample time (+1 hour) to get to your terminal. Also, terminal B had zero food options, so plan ahead.
If you're not eating carbs, your best options are some of the pre-made salads at various food spots.

Like craft beer? Best place is right next to security line by terminal C, not much else... And be nice to the staff, everybody vents on them

Make sure to check the terminal you're in when you tell the driver. I was flying delta and just told the cab driver "delta"...he took me to a delta terminal but there are THREE delta terminals at LGA.
Terminal D (Delta) is one of my favorite US terminals; great food choices, contemporary layout and iPads for everyone - whether you are in the gate area or in a restaurant. Superior experience.
Best Delegate9월 6, 2011No direct subway line into the city. Recommend taking a shuttle bus that takes you to midtown. Also, you can consider sharing a cab, but lines may be long.
