hello_emily: AMAZING! Get the set menu - the sashimi & tuna spare rib are incredible. Sakura ice cream is perfect ending. Also try the black vinegar sour to drink. Sounds gross but I had 2! ✌🏻
Alex Ravenel: Fantastic omakase. Small space, seats only about 10 so make sure you have a reservation. No English sign so make sure you know what building looks like--is on third floor.
melody ju: Best tuna ever...After being to 3*Sushi Yoshitak and Mizutani, also cheap places such as tsukiji market, i may say this 1* Sushi Tokami is the best among all i've tried. 자세히 보기
Deltastreet: Omakase is the way to go. Feel free to chat with Yasuda-san. He's such a warm, friendly guy. :) Also, If you like a specific fish, tell him ahead so he can give you more of it. :)
Kevin Rickert: Fu-unji - Tsukemen can be found here which is dipping ramen. You walk in, use the ticket machine, state your size (omori = large), eat, and get out. Quick turnover, but you will always find a line.
Epicurious: Two counters at this enormous, crowded market stand out above the rest: Sushi-Dai and Daiwa Sushi. This is the freshest sushi you will ever try, and the immense variety will impress you too.
Doris Hu: The udon was so good. Get it with the egg and beef. Delicious! Prepare to order as you wait on line. Thankfully the menu has pictures! Use Google Translate for the rest.
Sabrina: Really tiny restaurant which only seats 8 ppl, hence the wait/line up. It's worth the wait though, esp. on a cold day like today! Get the 1st item on the menu, the chicken broth is to die for!!! 😍😋
Trish F: Lovely, relaxed soba restaurant - sudachi (citrus) soba was fresh and duck ramen was delicious. Anago tempura light and buttery, futo-maki very yummy. Takes reservations in English and English menu.
Cezary: Save yourself a 3-hour wait at Sushi Dai and eat here instead. The line is much shorter, but most tourists don't know because it's just a few steps further down the alley (btw buildings 6 and 7).
Jeff Forbes: Great noodles in the Shinjuku area. This is the one up maybe 5-6 stairs. Staff is very friendly -- they'll help you order from the machine if you need it.
Dens: This was rec'd to me as Best Ramen in Tokyo & it didn't disappoint. You order with 2 variables -- spicyness (I went 2 of 4) and numbing (I went 3 of 4). Numbing is amazing (& I'd rec'd going 4 of 4)
Alessandro Mingione: The chefs told us of a student from San Francisco that ate here every day for 30 days straight. You'll never get bored if you talk to them. Amazing crew they got here! :D Try asking them what this it.
Elise Bomhof: This is a hidden gem! Tucked away behind expensive shops; there is this little food court with food trucks, craft beers, music, benches and friendly people.
Talisa Chang: Great local spot on the 2nd fl. Portions are huge esp for the prices. sashimi bowl was 👌🏾. 500Y "table charge" pp that comes with a little appetizer. English menu available and very friendly.
Kris Concepcion: The sukiyaki is great at the primary branch of Imahan's. Steps away from Ningyocho station, be ready to splurge on some of the best beef you will taste. Reserve a set menu ahead of time!
Richard Foo: Ningyocho Imahan Ginza is one of the top Sukiyaki specialist in Tokyo. The sukiyaki and steak courses are out of this world. Go for the special beef, especially the champion for the year. 👍👍👍
Jeffrey: Beef sukiyaki is amazing. The cheapest is already very good (at least by western standard) but we also tried the medium quality and that was mind blowing melt in mouth. Not a cheap place but worth it!
Justin Chen: Specializes in Tsukemen, offering two sizes of each flavor: one with just noodles, the other adding pork, chicken, fried bamboo shoots, and soft-boiled egg.
Ying Lim: Great service - staff were so friendly! Huge portion - stick with the smallest to enjoy it! Shoyu and miso ramen and tsukemen were both great even though I'm a bigger fan of tonkatsu.
MingKuang: One of the best Tonkatsu I've had. Instead of a single slice of pork, the pork is chopped into chunky pieces which makes it tastier and softer.
