If you like wine, you’re in the right place. The Rio boasts a wine cellar that has more than 50,000 bottles.
Take in the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower – a structure originally intended to be an exact replica of the original in France, but shrunk to ½ scale due to the proximity of the airport.
Take a gander at one of the several replicas of famous Italian monuments like the Trevi Fountain and Michelangelo’s David.
Stop and smell the flowers at the Mirage’s atrium which houses over 300 orchids and 1,000 bromeliads.
Take a moment to appreciate the rotating exhibit of pop art in the lobby of THEhotel.
In the lobby, look up at the 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers covering the ceiling: a work of art called Fiori di Como or “Flowers of Como”, an homage to the resort’s inspiration (Lake Como, Italy).
Play one of the carnival games on the famous Midway – Las Vegas’ only permanent circus.
In front of the gardens, with Las Vegas Blvd. to your back, get close to the statue, get low and shoot up. You will get a great shot, with the fountains shooting overhead.
At the NE corner of the fountains, you can use the 3rd pillar from the Bellagio shops to get a nice, unobstructed shot of the water show, with the Cosmopolitan and O sign in the background.
Outside the Louis Vuitton, you can capture a very interesting shot of the Ocean Club on the left and the red and white ribbons hanging down.
The traffic island on Las Vegas Blvd., outside of the Hard Rock, provides some of the most unique views of the strip. The views from here of the Aria, Monte Carlo, and Cosmopolitan are great at night.
