Amy Y: Incredible authentic British fare that even has the dish's origin year & source cookbook printed right on the menu. Two words: meat fruit. The tipsy cake does not disappoint, so save room for dessert!
Amy Y: A restaurant that sets the standard for how British is food is meant to taste. Incredible game-y meats, dessert selection, and wine + beer list. Probably my favourite restaurant in London.
Amy Y: Absolutely incredible food in Covent Garden – love the pasta and risotto in particular. Great wine list that covers affordable to premium. Highly recommend the £21 set lunch/theatre menu!
Amy Y: Delicious, delicious lobsters and great cocktails. Go for the lobster (obviously)--the £20 price tag is pretty steep for burgers and small-ish lobster rolls
Amy Y: Most authentic ramen in London (I've tried them all). Spectacular broth, meat, egg. Noodle texture can be customised. Don't worry if the line is long, most diners finish in <1 hr. Not veggie friendly
Amy Y: NOT a traditional ramen place, but very very good Japanese/Caribbean fusion. Get the Curry Goat Tsukemen, Mentaiko Pasta, and the Saltfish Korokke. Portion sizes have finally gotten bigger!
Amy Y: Good steak in London, I've finally found you! Meat actually cooked to the temperature promised. Reasonably priced. Also, free salted caramel ice cream! What's not to love? Go for lunch – lots of seats
Amy Y: My favourite Chinese restaurant. Try the spicy cucumbers and spicy sliced chicken (kou shui ji) to start; then zhengzhou hui mian and pork & chive dumplings for mains
Amy Y: Great bar off the beaten path. Food rotates between street food chefs every week. Also has the best Sunday roast in London – reasonable prices, huge portions, and excellent Bloody Marys!
Amy Y: Worth the wait! Everything is incredible, from the rustic pan con tomate to the grilled quail to the prawns to the warm chocolate tart. Pro tip: order some food and wine while you queue.
Amy Y: Rare gem of authentic Vietnamese food in London (I've tried many). Everything is good and very reasonably priced. My favourites are bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup) and the honey bbq pork noodles
Amy Y: Usually great location + nice neighbourhood = bad food. Lucky for us, The Waterway bucks the trend. Get the grilled squid appetiser or the Egg's Benedict (not too heavy)! Pimm's pitcher optional.

Amy Y: Amazing cocktails. The food is good but very expensive -- your wallet is better off wandering back down to Gerrard Street if you get the munchies
Amy Y: If you're tired of arguing with your friends over what type of wine to get, this place is for you. Innovative concept in a convenient area. AMAZING wine selection, decent food, great vibes overall.
Amy Y: Free entry to walk around an amazing brutalist piece of architecture. Top notch architectural tour and even better music / arts / theatre gigs. See if you can get a discount via Young Barbican
Amy Y: Highly recommended as what a bookstore should feel like. Great selection, lovely design, comfy reading nooks, friendly staff. Shelving system may confuse at first but really encourages browsing.
Amy Y: Amazing food, cosy atmosphere, nice outdoor seating when the weather's nice. Some of the best black pudding I've ever had. Get the rustic garlic bread to start!
