jon accarrino: If you plan on hiking to the top, then you might want to upgrade your footwear and trim down some layers before leaving your car. It gets pretty steep.

George M.: If you don't have a 4WD car, leave it by the main road and be prepared for a 45 minute hike on an otherworldly moonscape. You can even walk down the beach if you have the time after reaching the plane

Andrew S: Great spot for seeing Puffins. They tend to be on the cliffs to the right.

Kirsy: If you are near Vik, check out the black sand beach, it is beautiful+ there are puffins :-)

Tansu: The canyon was created by progressive erosion by flowing water from glaciers through the rocks and palagonite over millennia.

Mona Wu: Go around sunset to catch the beautiful reflection off the lagoon. Also a popular spot to watch the northern lights (conditions permitting)
