Baum: No reservations at the counter. If possible, sit at the longer side of the counter. Omakase for first timers, but go for the nigiri--it's Edomae style. Best in Los Angeles.
Baum: Always do the omakase. Being a practitioner of Edomae sushi, expect the fish to be cut long and ample and the rice in small quantity. Sorry, no rolls.
Baum: Maybe not Asanebo or Sushi Sushi, but Saito san has been around one of the original five of LA sushi scene. Ample portions, good prices. BTW never let sushi linger on your plate. Eat immediately.
