This is the most beautiful park in Groningen. Go out BBQ'ing in summer or enjoy an autumn's stroll.
Just go watch a game here, although we don't always win the stadium's atmosphere always offers pleasure. And don't forget to layer up in winter ;-)
This might be one of the most undeservedly undiscovered parts of Groningen: the Oosterpark neighbourhood. The Pioenpark and it's neighbouring parks facilitate the better sunday strolls.

The best indian food in simple surroundings but served by lovely people. All inclusive meal for only 16 euro and in the summer you can take away a picknick set to eat in the nearby park.
A real italian. Best pizza's in Groningen and that's only the start .. at the end you deserve a great espresso with the greatest Tiramisu.
Nice place out of the city center, nearby the Noorderplantsoen. The food's always been good and welcoming and professional personnel.
Probeer de Toeter Blond. Gebrouwen door Mommeriete; een van de meest geprezen en beste brouwerijen van de wereld.
Tussen de tapas achterin: hoummous met koriander. Superlekker. (De andere tapas en spreads ook, trouwens. Je hebt zo een complete avondmaaltijd bij elkaar.)
