Wines by the glass were superb. Service was very good. Peeky Toe crab salad was sublime. The risotto was the best I have ever had in the US, and maybe the world! Expensive, but worth it.
Tough to get a table even with reservations. Fabulous food. Great people watching. Expensive!!!
Great cuts of beef and delicious sides. Always a great meal, but you can quickly run up a very big bill here. My #2 steakhouse in Manhattan!
Try the chicken piccata with a side of sautéed spinach. Their wines by the glass have improved a lot!
Authentic Italian food and attentive service if you can get a table. Always reminded of the restaurants in Firenze (Florence) when we went here. Expensive, but that goes with the territory.
Great corned beef sandwiches. The best place for an expensive nosh. The half-sour pickles are awesome.

Very trendy spot right now (10/30/15). The Pad Thai was good but the Seafood Bouillabaisse was mediocre. Much better spots for Thai food and with no waiting lines.
Even more expensive than Whole Foods! Go here for the best meat and fresh seafood. The best fresh pesto sauce anywhere!
Best Whole Foods in midtown. Avoid the mobs at the Columbus Circle madhouse. The food bars are a good value for a meal. The Indian food is spicy and very good at this branch.
Excellent Onion soup and the best Steak Fritte I've had in NYC. A very enjoyable Cote Du Rhone completed the French bistro atmosphere.
