A great find in a energetic downtown area. The Muse has new books, plenty of used books, and regular author talks and book signings.
His hours can be tough to hit, but Cliff's has been a staple of Downtown DeLand for decades. Walk in to see racks of comics, shelves of collectibles, and ceiling-high stacks of used books.
If you're looking for a specific book, try here first. Judy opened it over 30 years ago and kept moving and expanding until now, under new ownership, it's the best around. Also, there are cats.
Honestly I didn't expect this one to stay open, but they've surprised me. Well-kept, lots of used books, big kids' section. Plus free coffee and wi-fi. A nice place to spend some time and browse.

Not one I visit often, The Book Shelf is mostly romance and crime novels. But I have found the occasional science fiction book I was missing there. Pleasant owners.
They tend to have more recent books than back issues, and the focus is on gaming, but the staff is friendly and if you need anything they'll get it for you fast. Make them your comic store.
