2011 gave us a cool growing season, a mirror image of the 2010 season, resulting in even more crisp acidity levels and bright fruit flavors than a typical washington vintage for white grapes. The artz vineyard on red mountain is in a warmer region infusing the grapes with wonderful full bodied tropical tones, while stillwater creek vineyard has a cooler climate giving the wine more classic notes such as grapefruit, green apple and star anise. Together, they make a wonderful, balanced combination. This wine jumps from the bottle in a sophisticated and complex style. The aromas are floral and mouth­watering, with hints of pineapple and citrus and some subtle mineral highlights. In the mouth it is rich and well balanced, showing a hint of grapefruit, citrus and tropical tastes on a long finish. A great complement to seafood, chicken, or your favorite soft cheese.

This wine, from one of the warmest vintages on record, is no exception. The color is an opaque purple. Cabernet sauvignon dominates the nose with black cherry, cassis and toasty oak. The flavors start big on the palette with immense dark fruits and mocha. The mouth feel gets “lift” with pleasant, thick tannins. A complex and balanced finish evolves with each sip getting more complex with every hour. This wine will benefit from aging and be at its best in a few more years. Cabernet sauvignon this vintage was perfect in many ways for cabernet sauvignon. Long sunny days and warm temperatures made the grapes ripen to perfection. A combination of these two amazing vineyards and a mix of new and used barrels made a balance of creamy notes on the pallet without being too oaky. No fining or filtration was used before bottling leaving the most natural wine possible. This wine will age beautifully over the next 10–15 years! A juicy steak would be the perfect pairing.

Sourced entirely from still water creek vineyard, this classic blend of grenache 25%, syrah 25% and mourvedre 50% was picked from each vineyard block at different stages for optimal ripeness deep purple in color, our first ever G.S.M. Shows ripe, juicy flavors of blackberry, cherries and a dusting of cocoa. After 20 months of barrel aging, this wine was bottled without fining or filtration. Our first rosé comes at a great time. 2011 gave us the perfect conditions for using mourvedre to make a ‘provencal’ style wine. After being whole cluster pressed in our basket press with no skin contact, the juice was fermented in two, small 75 gallon stainless steel barrels. The extended, slow, cool fermentation preserved the flavors and delicate floral aromas.Harvested to showcase its best attributes, this rosé is easy going, fresh and wonderful. A slight orange/rose color in the glass, it smells of blood orange and strawberries transitioning straight to a mouthful of fruit. It leaves you with a tinge of white pepper on the finish, mouthwatering acidity and intriguing minerality. Perfect with a tray of cheese on the porch.

This vintage is a return to our popular 2006 style which combines fruit from two special vineyards. Artz vineyard on red mountain is in a warmer region infusing the grapes with wonderful full bodied tropical tones. While stillwater creek vineyard is a cooler climate giving the wine more classic notes such as grapefruit, green apple, and star anise. Together they make a wonderful combination! With cooler temperatures and two extra weeks on the vine, the 2008 sauvignon blanc harvest was incredible! This wine has an explosive nose of apples and honeysuckle and a perfectly balanced palate with great mouthfeel and complementing acidity. With a slight note of white peaches and nectarines followed by a smooth refreshing finish, this wine will pair perfectly with a variety of seafood or your favorite cheese.

Our 2006 syrah blends lots from three fabulous vineyards in our portfolio: dineen family, a great spot north of zillah in the central yakima valley, chandler reach, on the yakima river within earshot of red mountain, and stillwater creek, a legend in the making in the frenchman hills near royal city. This syrah showcases the different styles and quality of these three vineyards in one integrated wine.

The first of our 2007 red wine releases starts with this wonderful blend from three of our favorite syrah vineyards. Dineen family, a great spot north of zillah in the central yakima valley, meek, a great young vineyard on the south facing slope in view of red mountain, and stillwater creek, a perennial favorite sourced from a rocky slope on the frenchman hills. This wine shows the diversity of each vineyard, while at the same time weaves them to together to form a complex, yet elegant wine.

Our annual cuvee is from barrels selected from three of our best vineyards. Dineen family, a great spot north of zillah in the central yakima valley, chandler reach, a terrific site on the river near red mountain, and stillwater creek, a perennial favorite sourced from a rocky slope on the frenchman hills. Together this wine shows the diversity of each vineyard, but at the same time weaves together to form a complex wine. Inky purple colors, tones of sweet fruits, spice and bacon notes on the nose. Aromas of licorice and mocha intermingle with cassis and leather. Opulent fruit flavors on the palate are beautifully balanced by firm, velvety tannins. These tannins help elevate gobs of sweet fruit in your mouth and a very long smooth finish makes this wine very accessible now or can age 7-10 years

Our red wine blend (83% cabernet sauvignon and 17% cabernet franc) is named after the greek philosopher ausonius. This nicely crafted full-bodied red has a lively nose of red fruits and soft vanilla notes that leap from the glass. Seamless on the palette it offers a round and generous mouth-feel revealing cola tones, black cherry and plum. The finish is long and full with beautifully integrated tannins. Should drink best from 2007 – 2015. we awarded this wine the “ausonius” label to commemorate its complex namesake - a 4th century poet, professor, courtier, prefect (gaul) , and consul (rome) . As a bordeaux vineyard owner, ausonius undoubtedly appreciated the extraordinary care and patience required to produce a fine wine. A fortunate few will now hear the learned ausonius speak - instructing the senses, delighting the palate and arousing the passions.

The 2005 ausonius is 47% cabernet sauvignon, 45% cabernet franc and 8% malbec. For those of you that don’t know, a prestigious french winery has requested that we change the name of our popular flag ship wine. We have come to an amicable agreement and the 2005 ausonius will be the last vintage released under the “ausonius” name. We consider this quite the compliment! You have definitely made an impression in the wine world when the french know your name. 2005 was a spectacular vintage in washington. The fourth and final ausonius showcases the best blocks of fruit and the finest barrels the 2005 vintage had to offer. With meticulous hand crafting and attention to detail, the 2005 ausonius represents what we think to be the finest release in its history. Extended hang time, cool nights and perfect harvesting conditions all paved the way for what has resulted in an amazingly well-balanced, age worthy wine. This young “bordeaux style” blend has a massive nose of cassis, leather, and spice. A plush mouthful of black cherries, chocolate, and spice lay on the palate. The tannins are firm and focused, with a hint of herb framing the layers of fruit. Flavors build on the palate with a supple density that fills the mouth. For optimal enjoyment, this blend would do well with decanting or storing in the cellar for 2-3 years. It will continue to mature in the bottle for 10-15 years.

The blend for our flagship wine is made from only the best barrels (and in 2007 we had a lot of amazing barrels to choose from) . 2007 was also one of the best vintages washington has seen, giving this release the most complexity of any prior vintage.The nose starts with appealing notes of crème’ de cassis, black fruits, and baking spices. The palate shows fruit galore with wonderful supple tannins, wrapped around a core of black fruits. It has amazing depth, and a polished mouth-feel revealing cola tones, black cherry and plum. This wine will peak in 3–5 years but is poised to mature nicely in the cellar, giving a decade or more of pleasure. 56% cabernet sauvignon, 22% merlot, 11% cabernet franc, 11% malbec.

Last year we created a blend of petite verdot and malbec which we called odd man out (O.M.O. ) Because these two varietals are rarely featured in wines but used instead for blending with other grapes. We found the combination created intense flavors and complexity and you agreed. The reception for this wine was extraordinary and we quickly sold out of the 2004 vintage. We found the 2005 vintage even more alluring. This second vintage of O.M.O made with a 50/50 blend of petite verdot and malbec will blow you away with intense fruit and a nose that fills the room. A well integrated mix of red and black fruits glides across the palate with a full and rich mouth feel. Long intensity on the finish makes this wine a great one to enjoy now, but the structure of this wine will allow it to age gracefully for the next 5-7 years.

2008 produced wonderfully balanced fruit and provided us with our most flamboyant O.M.O. Yet. The petite verdot dominates this release with rich scents of candied apples and red licorice. The wine is ripe, plush and deeply concentrated with a palate-swirling mix of wild berry and blackberry fruit. The malbec contributes a muscular/dark tone to the wine adding complexity and smoothness. As always this wine is difficult not to drink now but will continue to improve for the next 3–5 years. If you can’t wait to drink it, decant for an hour before serving to bring out the best of this blend

Lms is definitely a red meat wine that is complex enough to stand up to heavier cuts of meat. Grilled duck breast, braised lamb and fatty cuts of beef would be ideal

The 2005 is 100% cabernet sauvignon from the stillwater creek vineyard and may be the finest offering from this winery to date. The grapes came from block 40, planted with clone 8 rootstock and were aged in 75% new french oak for 21 months. We think you’ll find this cabernet a great testimate to stillwater creek and the quality of washington wines. This wine starts with a full “engaging” nose of black currant, cassis, licorice and tobacco. The flavors saturate the palate, with cocoa, cherry, currant, and chocolate. The finish has firm tannins and a resistant length that proves this is a special bottle of wine deserving of the label "reserve". This wine will see its peak in two years and will continue to evolve for the next 10 years.

As our final 2010 release, the 2007 reserve cabernet is in many ways a perfect cap to a remarkable vintage. Bottled from very special "reserve only" cabernet barrels, we believe this wine represents the best of washington cabernet. Impressive for its density, this vintage is totally unfined and unfiltered. Undeniably young, it has an immense nose of mocha and chocolate along with a red currant brightness. The palate showcases this cabernet's age-worthiness. It's full bodied with chewy, tight tannins. Displaying deft balance, it has a great roundness and a long expanded finish. Patience will be rewarded.

Cabernet franc is one of washington state’s gems. Since the beginning, we have produced cabernet franc for our wines from outstanding vineyards like conner lee, stillwater creek, chandler reach, and dineen. With extremely limited amounts of cabernet franc available each year, this grape is usually blended into indomitable, our flagship blend, or little bear creek red wine. This exclusive release is only our third ever as a single varietal wine.2009 lent plenty of warm temperatures and nice bold flavors to this limited varietal release. Harvesting from three of the four outstanding vineyards listed above has resulted in a cabernet franc of immense complexity. The nose starts with rich, cocoa notes and a slight bit of earthy, loamy scents. Very dense in structure, the flavors are laser beam sharp and precise with hints of coffee, soft tannins and lovely blueberry/ cassis fruit. Both elegant and powerful, additional aging will develop the velvety mouth feel and improve for a decade.

This is our first varietal merlot since 2005. the 2008 vintage provided what i believe to be the best components for this incredibly complex 100% merlot. Still a baby at this point, the nose has flinty, smoky and mocha tones. The tannins are young and complex wrapping themselves around a massive core of classic merlot notes: black cherry, currant, blackberry and spice, with a smooth chocolaty aftertaste. Let this one breath for a few hours and see the amazing potential of this wine. This wine will sell out very fast
