Check out the marker for the first home in Rolla. Webber Homestead in 'about' 1845 (guess acurate records werent as important then.)
This building is very impressive, and looks neat from all four sides. Walk around it to check it out. I can just imagine it sitting in a field all alone, atop a rise overlooking early Rolla.
Visit soon, because Chem Bio Eng will be moving out, and renovation will be performed on 'old' Schrenk hall. Alum won't want to miss their chance to say goodbye to old memories.
Above the main entrance is a WONDERFUL public porch. Great place to grab some sun, enjoy lunch, and listen to the sounds of campus below.

A great place to enjoy a picnic lunch. Grab something inside and then sit under the trees outside enjoying the breeze and shade.
Lots of students, little parking. Packing in and out at beginning and end of terms can be a pain.
Be careful of parking on the side walk. You don't want to accidentally hit anyone, and you don't want to get a parking ticket!

There are a couple of multi-room furnished apartments that can be rented for long term visiting faculty. Nice and reasonable cost.

There's a new parking lot just beyond the North endzone. Completed just in time for 2012 graduation.

Helpful tip to visitors: Leach theatre is INSIDE Castleman hall (same place, two names... go figure).
Its a beautiful home inside with space to entertain downstairs and a private residence upstairs. Gorgeous older home.
These folks are all about sustainable practices. Irrigation, local plants, compost, etc. Plenty to learn from their best practices.

If you walk the perimeter of the course on the sidewalks, its a very nice two-mile hike.
A highly accesible facility great for campus or regional events from small meetings over coffee to sit down dinner for 200+. Thanks to the Haveners for this wonderful treasure.
Approx one in every four S&T students participates in student design. Its a fantastic strength of our University that makes us all proud!

Built in 1973, the S&T observatory operates a 16 inch telescope. Visitors are invited throughout the year to see 'interesting' celestial phenomena.
