This place has the best chocolate chip cookies in Tempe! They are huge, moist, and full of giant chunks of chocolate. The best thing is they are only $1.99! That is a great deal on ASU campus.
This place is a great little quick lunch stop right next to ASU. The owner is a Grad student who, with her family, whips up the meanest Crunchy Golden Dragon roll with a delicious Teriyaki drizzle!
If you want authentically spiced, lamb kabobs and dolmades,etc. try this quirky little sit down and Grocery store. Buy exotic ingredients for Mediterranean diners at home. Must try the Turkish coffee!
Dan Harkins' family lived in the apartment upstairs when he was a child and his father was first stating the Movie theater biz. Dan has lovingly restored this theater and shows very limited run Gems!
A wonderful place to sit on the patio, share an adult beverage with a friend, and hear a great local band play every night of the week. They also have special shows and very reasonable prices. Cheers!

Must see on walking tour of Downtown! This cool award winning, upside-down, pyramid boasts a relaxing contemplation garden hidden at its base. Most fun when the Tempe Arts festival booths surround it.
This tiny gift shop saved my butt during classes at The Brickyard! In a few minutes I could get a coffee and a sandwich and be back up in my class. They also have deals on ASU swag up to 75% off too.
This new hidden hangout, on the second floor of The Brickyard at the top of the escalators, has a huge menu, balcony seating over Mill, great servers, weekend DJs, and fantastic chicken quesadillas!
Cool Mom-n-Pop coffee bar! Run by musicians who book local -21 bands about every night. Great art 4 sale displayed, $20 weekly parking passes, & local Kaleidoscope coffee. Try the Snickerdoodle latte!
when I used to live on Ash&10th I'd always look forward to laundry day, done next door, because it was a good excuse to go in here and check out the hard to find graphic novels that only they stocked!
One of my fondest memories was when I "bar-tended" on one of their party boats during 4th o' July. We floated 100' from the Fireworks bridge! Great all year for paddle boats at reasonable prices too.
This town has waited a long time for a replacement to the old Tempe Arts Center, where I worked, otherwise known as the public pool of the 50's. A world class art center truly worth the wait! Enjoy!
Once was the old Red River Opera a decade or so ago. Now's a great roadhouse to see smaller touring rock/metal/alt/etc. bands. Has big bar with fast servers and smoking patio. The acoustics are great!
The nicest ASU satellite gallery ever! Student, visiting artist, and professor's work housed in a high end retail space in the Tempe Market place. Always shows the highest caliber art. Worth a peek!
