Solid wine selection along with bottles of Stella if you'd prefer a beer. Located on the Hill St. side of Grand Central market. Tried the oysters, tuna poke and shrimp cocktail, was very impressed.
The Going Dutch panini on olive stick is a cheesy bit of deliciousness. Pastries are brilliant, highly recommend the Kouign Amann when they have it. Also sell bread to go and will slice it for you.
Local Arts District coffee shop with tea, hot chocolate and juices as well. Be sure to get a loyalty card for drinks and coffee beans if you plan on coming back.
Went last night (2/16/15) and they have added a fried chicken Baco to the menu. Always been a fan of Chef Centeno's fried chicken so this does not disappoint (it's huge).
Just line up and wait for some seats to free up. Only thing on the menu is the delicious warm rice and crunchy hand rolls. Blue Crab and Lobster are my personal favorites. Going solo is great too.
Located in the Spring Arcade Building (right by Guisados). As someone who is obsessed with ice cream Hazelnut & Dark Chocolate sea salt is the way to go. They also have coffee and pints to go as well.
As folks say, get the sampler if you can't figure out what you want. Some tacos are spicy so be sure to check before ordering if you're a bit of a wuss. Quesadilla with chorizo is really good.
Love the cake donuts here. They have a great breakfast sandwich now on their soft flakey cheddar and cheese biscuit. Get the spicy one for that extra kick.
In the back of Cole's, just open the door and put your name in for a table. Penicillin is my drink of choice. If you have to wait for a table just go to the Cole's bar and enjoy the excellent drinks.
The lunch buffet has so much variety there is something for everyone. Grab a salad, some meat from the Carvery or a sandwich perhaps. Great for friends who are indecisive about their food choices.
Pork Longganisa with a fried egg and black rice was delicious. The sausage is house made and is pretty fantastic. Little hole in the wall on 7th Street, worth a visit for a Downtown lunch.
Brilliant southeast Asian / Vietnamese style meal. Be sure to try the salted cod fried rice, pea tendrils & lemongrass steak. Imperial rolls were delicious. Service was outstanding.
The greatest sandwich place in LA. Pork Belly Bahn Mi pro-tip: scoop the bread and ask for a side of Pork Belly juice. Side of Curried Cauliflower Cous Cous. That's all I ever order, ever.
Between 7th & 8th all Wall St. Breakfast Sandwich with Sausage & scramble is the way to go. Oatmeal is delicious too. Great place to start the day if you work in Downtown Los Angeles.
I go for the fri chicken, beef roll, pork dumplings and cocktails. Great prices, good drinks. It's on 8th street next to Terroni, just got to walk down some stairs and you're there.
