I have never seen such bargains on quality merchandise. The trick here is to know what you want, know the prices, & only come if you're going to do a big shopping--otherwise it's not worth the drive.
There is nothing to compare to Kalustyan's if you like to cook and are looking for herbs/spices. I visit every time I am in NYC. The best!

The freshest seafood with great prices. They also sell a great deal of interesting sauces and spices that go very well with their seafood.
Food is pretty decent, portions are large, staff is attentive. Bathrooms could be cleaner, but it’s still worth coming in the warm weather just to sit in the charming patio area outside.
