Bring yourself some snacks to have while you're walking and DO NOT buy anything from that gift shop (you can get the exact same things outside!). A DBG membership pays for itself in 5 visits. Do yourself a favor and become a member. That way, you won't have to pay if you just want to come to the gardens for a walk or to work (free WIFI).

Just inside the entrance, outside and down stairs on the east side of the main building is the five senses garden. The highlight are the plants that curl up in response to being touched.

Bring a picnic lunch with you and a blanket. Lots of perfect picnic spots.
