This is a list of every location at ISU, it is a work in progress but I haven't seen any other lists come even close to this breadth of locations on campus.
Iowa State University: Construction on the Central Building concluded in 1908. In 1938, it was renamed for former ISU president William Beardshear (1891-1902).
Iowa State University: The Memorial Union was built in 1927-28 as a memorial to those who lost their lives in World War I. Gold Star Hall houses the names of all Iowa Staters lost in the wars and conflicts lost since then.
Iowa State University: Created in 1933 and named for alum LaVerne Noyes, who donated money for the lake. Swans named Lancelot and Elaine have been fixtures on the site since 1935.
Iowa State University: When constructed after a water shortage in 1895, the tower was the first made of steel and the tallest west of the Mississippi. It is unused today, but on the National Register of Historic Places.

Debra Sanborn: Home to the Academic Success Center, Hixson Awards Program, National Student Exchange, and Athletic Academic Center. Great place to study on the East side of campus.
Iowa State University Admissions: We're not sure why it started, but for more than 70 years students have stepped around the Zodiac in Gold Star Hall. Apparently stepping on the Zodiac ensures you will fail your next exam.
