This place is neat! If you're up for the trek to Red Hook, Thurs. evenings and Sat. afternoons, cruise this little floating museum for free. It's been docked on Pier 44 since the mid-'90s.
Depends on the show, of course, but what better way to see a band you love than floating in a circle around the great isle of Manhattan?

OK, not ON a boat, but some of its walkways are boat-inspired, as an homage to the (v. polluted) Newtown Creek's past glory as an industrial waterway. We once saw it used as a kayak landing. #BADidea

Best boat vantage point in South Brooklyn with lots of excellent food and drink options around you (including Steve's Key Lime Pie!). Good sunset statue-of-liberty vistas if you're into that.
