dyvroeth: Wonderful place. Good explanatory boards, with diagrams, set out in English and Welsh. Be careful where you park as only some places will refund the parking fee.
dyvroeth: Comfortable roadside hotel. Car park is a bit small and sometimes you end up in the one for an adjacent business, which is a bit disconcerting overnight.

dyvroeth: This place is a gem. Tucked away in NW corner of Docklands complex, it traces the history of the docks, trade and the people. Busy on-site café but connected to a bar which also serves food.

dyvroeth: Fabulous traditional pub right beside the Thames in Poplar. Food is first class, but because it's close to Canary Wharf financial district, some prices can be eye-watering. Great views of the river.
dyvroeth: Great little place opposite Upminster Railway Station main entrance. Good food and great coffee, reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Some tables wobble.
dyvroeth: Traditional pub. It's a bit pricey but offset by indoor views of the river and an outdoor (uncovered) seating area beside the Thames at Greenwich Reach. Good seafood and beer.
dyvroeth: Large, clean (if a little noisy) indoor café at the rear of the National Maritime Museum, Grennwich, which looks out over the park to the old Royal Observatory. Outdoor seating with umbrella cover.
dyvroeth: Been here dozens of times. Check for what's on ? Large orchards, some sections open for tours. Research facility. Genetic resource for fruit tree. Good restaurant and artisan shops. Plant shops.
dyvroeth: Waterside budget hotel on the Isle of Portland. Lovely high ceilings, clean rooms and friendly staff. Wi-fi coverage can be patchy but it's free. Stonking breakfast in café. Handy for diving fans.
dyvroeth: Enterprising new business, using experienced ex-Service personnel to provide high quality aviation training services, from a wonderful, waterside location. What's not to like ?
dyvroeth: Food is good, fresh and reasonably priced. Only problem is the acoustics; hard floors, scraping chairs, square edges and no curtains don't mix with screaming children. Go when it's quiet.
dyvroeth: This is a (not so) little gem within the RHS Hyde Hall Gardens. Up the hill, but wheelchair friendly, sympathetic modern architecture with some very good food at reasonable prices.
