Nice for a date, but not as fancy/romantic/nostalgic as I was expecting. Waitress was certainly grumpy. Food and tea were tasty. The tea had a nice presentation but the food (tasty) had cafe presntn.
This 18th c. square is home to some of the city's most historical structures: the St. Hedwig's Cathedral, and the Old Library (where Karl Marx and the Grimm brothers studied, and Einstein taught).

This Baroque palace at the Chalottenburg district is the largest palace in Berlin. Has been beautifully restored (after being destroyed in WWII) and is home to the French-styled Charlottenburg Park.

The biggest church in Berlin, the Berliner Dom is a tourist favorite. You can climb up the dome to get a view of the city. Also check out the famous Wilhelm Sauer pipe organ inside. Entrance is €5.
This historical monument at the center of Berlin was built to commemorate the Prussian victory in the Danish-Prussian War. Go to the observatory for amazing city views. Opens at 9:30am.
